HomeLet to address regional seminar in Norwich

Representatives from HomeLet, the UK’s leading industry insurance provider for the lettings industry, will be speaking about the challenges facing the sector in 2009 at the ARLA/NAEA Norfolk and Suffolk Seminar.

The event dedicated to residential letting agents is being held on Thursday 19th February at Sprowston Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club in Norwich. Over 80 delegates are expected to attend.

HomeLet Managing Director John Boyle said he’s delighted to be supporting the event.

“HomeLet is pleased to sponsor the regional seminar which offers ARLA/NAEA members in Norfolk and Suffolk the opportunity to find out about the latest issues facing the industry and meet with fellow professionals working in the private rented sector,” said John.

“In 2008 the lettings industry enjoyed a boom on the back of a decline in the housing sales market. However industry experts are now warning of a decline in rents due to an oversupply of properties to rent. Continuing weak sales in the housing market are forcing many would-be sellers to hold on to their assets and let their property instead.

“HomeLet can help letting agents to succeed in a competitive market by providing a powerful range of insurance products and services to protect their landlords’ rental income and give them total peace of mind.

“Many landlords are becoming increasingly concerned about the effect the credit crunch is having on their tenants’ ability to keep up with rental payments and with unemployment reaching a record high it is more important than ever that landlords protect their rental income by taking out a Rent Guarantee policy.”

HomeLet’s Rent Guarantee and Legal Expenses insurance provides protection for landlords’ rental payments for up to a maximum of 12 months with no restrictions on the types of tenants that can be covered.

It also provides up to £50,000 of cover for any breaches of the tenancy agreement and any legal costs that are incurred in evicting the tenant as a result of non-payment of rent.
