Baxi Group and Zenex have joined forces to promote technologies developed by Zenex that further improve the energy efficiency of domestic boilers.
The Zenex GasSaver is a flue gas heat recovery device that sits in the flueway on top of the boiler and recovers normally wasted heat energy from the flue gases. The recovered heat is stored in the GasSaver unit and used to pre-heat the cold water that supplies the domestic hot water (DHW) system.
The Zenex SuperFlow is an extension to the GasSaver, which uses a 25 or 50 litre thermal store to provide an additional pre-heat function. This heat store allows a combi boiler to deliver hot water at a greatly increased rate, typically up to 20 litres per minute.
Both systems are patented. They have been fully tested by independent accredited test houses and found to increase boiler efficiency to around 97.5 per cent.
Mark Kelly, CEO of Baxi Group UK and Ireland, said: “This technology will have a significant impact on saving energy in the home, and consequently the householder will see substantial reductions in fuel bills.
“Baxi Group is delighted to be working with Zenex at the forefront of energy efficiency, and we look forward to forging a strong commercial collaboration.”
Chris Farrell, Director of Zenex, adds: “This is an exciting time for both companies as we work together to provide energy efficient cost savings for consumers.”
