Cornwall based Ocean Housing Group, winner of the coveted 2008 CORGI Energy Efficient Installer of the Year and manufacturer of the 2008 CORGI Boiler of the Year, Baxi, have signed a partnership agreement that will benefit over 3000 homes in the South West.

Chris Stockman is M & E Services Manager for Ocean Services (SW) Ltd, the Group’s maintenance subsidiary and the actual recipient of the award. “Ocean Housing has been targeting our least energy efficient homes since it was established in 2000. By improving insulation and heating systems, we aim to provide residents with homes that they can afford to heat to a comfortable level.

“During the last eight years, we have invested £51 million in our building and modernisation programmes to give our clients ‘affordable warmth’. And we plan to spend a further £25 million over the next five years to ensure the properties remain in a safe, good quality condition and include the most up to date energy saving devices available. We are also running pilot schemes for solar and ground source heating in a number of properties and are intending to roll them out more generally in due course.

“Our partnership with Baxi is testament to our commitment to our residents – the Baxi Duo-tec Combi 28 HE is one of the most energy efficient boilers available, and its ease of installation and service impressed the installers who voted for it.
